Client: President of US Division

         Major Pharmaceutical Company


Need: The Company was facing regulatory compliance issues with regard to advertising and marketing. The President of the US business needed his organization to fully understand and comply with guidelines and regulations, a simplified process for advertising and promotion to allow for better control, and training that would better assure understanding and improved compliance.


Project: The president requested that Barry assemble a cross functional team to meet the project requirements and better assure functional buy-in and accuracy.  He also wanted a version controlled manual and education program.  The team consisted of Senior Directors and VPs from Legal, Worldwide Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Research, marketing operations and marketing. The project was completed in nine months including all legal, quality and regulatory reviews, training and implementation.


Outcome: All marketing and marketing operations personnel had consistent and clear understanding of regulations, guidelines and processes as well as an accessible reference. All appropriate people involved in advertising and promotion in the US were trained.
