Need: Turn dysfunctional team into aligned, high performing team


Project: Interviews and coaching of GM, Interviews with all senior team members, two day facilitated meeting as kick off.  GM Caribbean – creating a team and bringing the management team into alignment.  For three years there was an annual strategic planning session, individual coaching and team building sessions each 6 months


Outcome: The division consistently exceeded market goals in a 100% managed care environment – and beat market share in US of identical brands.  Management team members moved into many other jobs as GM, head of finance for Japan, etc. The engagement changed when the GM moved to Mexico – where Barry continued to work with him.

Client: Management Board

         Small Pharmaceutical Company


Need: Board meetings were taking too long and not resulting in high quality decisions required for growth.  The request was for optimizing board meetings and team work, improved time management and decision making.


Project: Along with one of the company Controllers, coached individual board members, designed and facilitated several meetings with the board, clarifying purpose, norms, goals and other items related to chartering a team.  Attended board meetings for six months and provided coaching both in meetings and individually.


Outcome: Board meetings moved from two or three hour meetings to less than one hour meetings. There was improved implementation of decisions taken by the board.

Client: President of US Division

            Large European Generic Pharmaceutical Company


Need: Move from branded generics to research based pharmaceutical company


Project: Strategic business plan to develop and market original products in addition to growing the generic business. Create and develop a team comprised of senior US management and executives from Europe and Eastern Europe.


Outcome: Partnering with global consulting firm contracted by Eastern European headquarters, created strategy and basis for global project team in less than three months.

        Animal Health Company


Need: 5 year business strategy


Project: Individual interviews, market research, facilitated meetings, follow up meetings. 


Outcome: Change in business focus and markets, acquisition of business to enable competition on “major player” arena.

Need: Decision and plan for entering new market segment


Project: Since several key executives were opposed to the change, Barry interviewed key participants and facilitated a two day meeting focused on how to create such a business, whether or not everyone thought it a good idea.


Outcome: At the end of two days, there was a 90% complete plan with 13 segments detailing all elements and activities with dates and responsibilities.  All participants left feeling that this plan would be “bullet proof” The president said it was one of the best plans he’d seen.
